This sits in the middle of the Wayfell range: stiffer than the Dunmail, lighter than the Garburn. The 2mm nubuck upper is in one piece over the forefoot, and a half-length nylon shank stops the sole folding on stone steps and old quarry tracks.

At 1,380g a pair in a UK 8 it's no featherweight, but the PU midsole holds its shape for longer than EVA, and the Holdfast sole has a flatter climbing zone at the toe for wet rock.
