Delivery

We pack online orders at our distribution centre at Huntworth, near Bridgwater in Somerset. Have your order delivered, or collect it free from any of our 128 shops.

Prices and delivery times

These prices are for the UK mainland. You pay once per order, however many parcels it arrives in. Working days are Monday to Friday, not counting bank holidays.

Next day delivery

Order by 8pm on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and your parcel arrives the next day. Orders placed after 8pm on Thursday, or on a Friday or Saturday, arrive on Monday. Over a bank holiday weekend, add a day.

In the year to January 2026, 94% of our next-day parcels arrived on time. Most of the late ones were in the run-up to Christmas, so we've added sorting capacity at Huntworth and changed the times our carriers collect.

Click and collect

Choose click and collect at checkout and pick a shop. If that shop has everything in stock, we'll text you when it's ready, usually within an hour during opening hours. If not, your order comes from Huntworth on the shop's next delivery and is usually ready the next day after 12 noon.

We keep your order for 14 days. Bring your order number, and if someone else is collecting for you, give it to them. About two in five of our online orders are collected from a shop. On the west coast of Scotland, customers from Mull, Coll, Tiree and Colonsay often order for collection at Oban and pick up when they come over on the ferry.

Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland

Standard delivery to the Scottish Highlands and islands, other UK islands such as the Isle of Wight and the Isles of Scilly, and Northern Ireland takes 3 to 7 working days. The price is the same: £4.95, or free on orders over £50. We can't send next day delivery to these areas. Click and collect is free at all our Scottish shops, including Fort William, Inverness and Oban.

Republic of Ireland

Our 12 shops in the Republic of Ireland take click and collect orders.

Ordering from this website for delivery to an address in the Republic of Ireland, with prices in euro, is not part of this demo.

Tracking and missed deliveries

We text and email you a tracking link when your parcel leaves Huntworth, and you can follow it from your orders. If you're out, the carrier will leave it with a neighbour or in a safe place you've chosen, or leave a card so you can rearrange. If a parcel can't be delivered and comes back to us, we'll call you to send it again or refund it.

Packaging

Hale clothing comes in paper bags, and 92% of the packaging we send online orders in can go in your kerbside recycling. Most of the rest is the plastic film around footwear and tent poles. To send something back, see returns.
