About this demo
Swift & Hale is a walking and camping retailer that doesn't exist. CHS made it up to show the work a retailer like this needs, end to end.
What's here
- This site: a working shop for about 450 products in 1,200 colours, with search, filters, a basket, accounts, a store finder and the company pages a listed retailer carries.
- The product information behind it, written once and used for the website and the printed catalogue.
- The Annual Report and Accounts 2026, on the web and as a 132-page PDF.
- The brand guidelines the rest is built on.
What works and what doesn't
You can create an account, save addresses, keep a wishlist, fill a basket and go all the way through checkout. Payment is switched off, so nothing can be bought and no order is placed. Every account shows the same example orders and repairs.
Accounts are deleted 30 days after sign-up (demo accounts after a day), and the site sends no email. The privacy page explains what is kept and who to contact.
What's invented
The company, its people, products, prices, reviews and figures. Real places, laws and standards are named where a real retailer would name them. Product and campaign photographs were generated with AI image tools for this demo, and the third-party brands were checked against the web but not against trademark registers.
Who made it
CHS is an independent creative agency in Christchurch, Dorset. We have been making catalogues, reports and the things around them since 1973.
