The Swift & Hale Club
The Club is free to join. Members get members' prices, free repairs on Hale and Swift kit, 2% back as repair credit and a place on our led walks. More than 2.2 million people are members.
What members get
- Members' prices on many lines, usually about 10% below the normal price. Both prices are on the product page and the shelf label.
- Free repairs on all your Hale and Swift kit. Hale waterproofs and packs are repaired free for everyone under our lifetime repair promise, and as a member the rest of your own-brand kit is covered too.
- 2% back as repair credit on qualifying spend, to use on repairs, hire and new kit.
- A place on more than 3,000 led walks a year from our shops.
- Our printed catalogue, Spring Summer and Autumn Winter, posted to you if you ask for it.
How repair credit works
For every £100 of qualifying spend we add £2 of repair credit to your account, so a £150 pair of boots earns you £3. Credit lasts 18 months from the day you earn it.
You can use it on repairs we would otherwise charge for, such as a new zip on a jacket from another brand, on kit hire, or towards new kit. Qualifying spend is what you pay for kit in our shops, online and in the app. Gift cards do not earn credit. Your balance is in your Club account.
Free repairs
Our repair benches in 41 shops mend zips, seams, buckles and tent poles, and shops without a bench send repairs to the nearest one. Members pay nothing for repairs to Hale and Swift kit. For other brands we tell you the price before we start, and you can put your credit towards it. How repairs work.
Led walks
Our shops led 3,100 walks last year, free for members. There are short walks for beginners, navigation sessions and winter evening walks by head torch, each with a qualified leader and a first aider. Book in the app or at the till. More about led walks.
How to join
Join at the till in any shop, online or in our app. Most people join at a boot fitting. Your membership card is in the app, so there is nothing to carry, and there is no fee or minimum spend.
The Path Fund
Each time a member buys something, 1p goes to the Swift & Hale Path Fund. Last year the fund gave £420,000 to 37 footpath, access and outdoor education projects, from new gates near Okehampton to path repairs on the Cleveland Way. Read about the Path Fund.
Your details and choices
We use your membership details to run the Club: your prices, credit, walk bookings and repair history. Choose whether we post you the catalogue or send you news in your preferences. Our privacy notice explains what we keep and why, and the Club terms are part of our terms of sale. To leave the Club, ask in any shop or call customer services on 01632 960 123.
