About this product

Women walking the bigger routes in the Lakes and Eryri often find a soft fabric boot too bendy on rough ground. The women's Gatesgarth has a half-length nylon shank and a PU midsole, so it feels steady on loose stone without the weight of a full leather boot.

In a UK 5 a pair weighs 1,120g. The 2mm nubuck is cut in one piece over the toes, with a Wayseal membrane behind it, and the heel cup is narrower than on the men's.

Steady on the Pyg Track
Up the Pyg Track and down the Miners' Track last month. Felt very stable on the rocky steps and my knees thanked me for it. Took a couple of walks to soften around the ankle.
