About this product

Twite is the Swift shell we sell most of. At 170g in size M it's light enough to carry on every trip, and the 2.5-layer Updraft fabric is rated to 20,000mm with a breathability of 25,000g/m²/24h.

Compared with Snipe it adds a hood with a stiffened peak and three adjusters, a chest pocket that the jacket packs into, and drawcords at the hem. The 10-denier face fabric is recycled nylon. Treat it with some care around rock and brambles, because fabric this light scuffs more easily than a hill jacket.

    Light, but it snags

Did the job on the Affric Kintail Way in showers. Caught it on a fence and put a small hole in the sleeve within a month. The Inverness shop patched it for me, but it is fragile.

Bought it for the Pennine Way

My partner wore it on 14 of our 19 days on the Pennine Way. Still dry at Kirk Yetholm and the hood never blew off once. We'd buy another.

Chloe, Glossop · 29 August 2025 · Bought size M for my partner, fits him well

    Weighs nothing

Carried it on a three-day wild camp in the Carneddau and wore it for most of day two. Dry, and I could still feel air moving. Packs into its pocket smaller than my stove.

Rhys, Llanberis · 14 July 2025 · Bought size M, room for a thin fleece
