About this product
Brackwater is the jacket most of our shop teams wear on their days off. The 3-layer Weatherline fabric is rated to 20,000mm and breathes at 20,000g/m²/24h, and its bonded inner face feels drier against a base layer than a 2.5-layer shell. It weighs 430g in size M.
Pit zips run 30cm under each arm. The hood is cut close for walking, with a wired peak and a one-hand adjuster at the back. Every zip, slider and cord lock comes from the standard Hale parts list our repair benches stock, and we keep spares for seven years after a line ends.
- Recycled nylon face fabric with a PFAS-free finish
- Helmet-free hood with a wired peak and one-hand adjuster
- 30cm pit zips with two-way sliders
- Two hand pockets above the hip belt, one chest pocket
- Standard Hale zips and cord locks, stocked by every repair bench

Great jacket, hood a bit snug
Wear it on the moor most weekends. Completely dry so far. The hood is fitted, so if you wear a thick hat under it you'll feel it pull.

Glyderau in a gale
Eight hours over the Glyders in wind and rain and my base layer was dry at the end, just a bit damp at the small of my back where the pack sits. Pit zips open with one hand. Best jacket I've owned.

Zip fixed in a week
Four years old and still going. The main zip slider wore out last winter and the Keswick shop replaced it in under a week at no charge. The jacket still beads up after a wash.
