About this product

Pack straps wear out jackets at the shoulders and hips first, so that's where Swale uses heavier 70-denier recycled nylon. The rest of the 3-layer Weatherline shell is 40-denier. The whole jacket is rated to 25,000mm and weighs 460g in a size 12.

It joins the range this spring, cut longer at the back, with pit zips and two chest pockets that sit clear of a sternum strap. The hood fits over a beanie. Like the rest of our waterproofs, it comes with the Hale lifetime repair promise.

Built for big trips
Took it on four days of the Cambrian Way for the Trail Panel. Dry the whole time and the shoulders still look new. I'd like the hand pockets a touch bigger for my phone.
