Cairnhope cut the women's Thole with narrower shoulders and more room at the hip, so it sits right over a harness and a fleece. The 3-layer Stormcairn fabric is rated to 28,000mm and breathes at 25,000g/m²/24h. It weighs 395g in a size 12.
The hood takes a helmet and has a wired brim. Pit zips run 40cm, and all four pockets sit above a harness. Take it from wet June days on Arran to winter walking in the Cairngorms.

Fits a woman properly
I've worn men's mountain jackets for years because the women's ones were too short. This one is long enough and fits over my hips with a harness on. Bone dry on Cairn Gorm in February.

Excellent but warm
Superb in heavy rain on Blencathra. On muggy days it's warm even with the pit zips open, so I take something lighter in summer.
