About this product

Smirr is Scots for fine rain, and this is the jacket for Highland summer days that start clear and end in hill fog. Cairnhope's Stormcairn 3L fabric is rated to 20,000mm, with a polyethylene membrane that breathes at 25,000g/m²/24h. The women's jacket weighs 290g in a size 12.

It's cut close for scrambling, with a slightly shaped waist, long arms and a helmet-compatible hood. Both pockets are on the chest, where a harness or hip belt won't block them. The finish is PFAS-free on a recycled nylon face.

Lovely jacket, small sizing
Wore it up Stob Ban and along the Mamores in clag and rain. Breathes well and the hood works with my helmet. It runs small, so try one on if you can.
