About this product
The Gannet 2 is a two-pole tunnel, which gives a lot of floor for the weight. It needs pegging out to stand, so pitch it tail to the wind. In return the porch is 1.2m², big enough to cook in when the weather turns.
We used a 40D polyester flysheet here. It costs less than the nylon on the Dunlin and sags less when it gets wet, which helps on a cold night in the Lakes. Most people buy it for their first trips with a friend.
- Two-pole tunnel with 1.2m² porch at the front
- Polyester flysheet that stays taut in the wet
- PFAS-free water-repellent finish on the fly
- Vents at both ends to move damp air through
- Inner can stay clipped in for a one-piece pitch

Fine but not for wind
Does the job and kept us dry, but we had a side wind on Shap Fell and the poles flexed a lot. It's a valley tent for us now.

Great value, learn to pitch it first
Pitched it in the garden twice before we went up to Easedale Tarn, and I'm glad we did. Once you get the angle right it's solid. Porch is huge.
