About this product
If most of your walking is on towpaths and village lanes, a longer coat makes more sense than a hill jacket. Garth ends at mid-thigh and has a two-way zip, so you can open the bottom for a stile or a long stride. The 2-layer Weatherline fabric is rated to 10,000mm.
It's shaped through the waist with a drawcord inside at the back to pull it in. Four outer pockets include two flapped ones at the hip. Hale's repair promise covers it for life.
- Two-way zip opens from the hem
- Internal waist drawcord at the back
- Detachable peaked hood
- Four outer pockets and an inside zip pocket
- Recycled 75D nylon face that sheds rain without PFAS

Hood too big
The coat is great and the length is just right. The hood is huge on me and blows back in the wind even with the drawcord pulled. I've taken it off and wear a hat instead.

Better than my old wax jacket
Lighter than waxed cotton and I don't have to re-wax it. Walked up Higger Tor in a storm and only my boots got wet. The two-way zip is handy for driving.
