About this product
Some walkers never get on with ankle cuffs, even on rough ground. The Gatesgarth Low keeps the boot's half-length nylon shank and PU midsole, so the sole stays steady on rock steps and loose stone while your ankles move freely.
Under the 2mm nubuck there's a Wayseal membrane, and the flat climbing zone at the toe helps on wet slabs. Expect it to feel firmer underfoot than a trail shoe for the first few walks.
- Half-length nylon shank and PU midsole, as on the boot
- 2mm nubuck over a Wayseal membrane
- Flat climbing zone under the toe for wet slabs
- Holdfast outsole with 5mm lugs

Stiff in a good way
Took them round the Carneddau in September. Much steadier on the rocky bits than my old trail shoes, and dry after a boggy start from Ogwen.
