About this product

Built for women who want a shoe for proper hill days, the women's Gatesgarth Low has a half-length nylon shank under a PU midsole. On rock steps and loose stone it feels closer to a boot than a trail shoe.

A pair weighs 800g in a UK 5, with 2mm nubuck over a Wayseal membrane. The heel is narrower than the men's, and a flat section of rubber under the toe holds on wet slabs.

Old Man and back
Wore them up the Old Man of Coniston by the quarry path. Really stable on the slate and dry crossing the becks. Heels didn't lift once.
