Wayfell Men's Sty Head Vent Walking Shoe

About this product

Sty Head is the high pass between Borrowdale and Wasdale, and on a hot August day it's a long, dusty climb. Wayfell's new Sty Head shoe is unlined, with a suede frame and big mesh panels, so heat escapes as you climb.

The forefoot is stiffer than on most summer shoes, which helps on scree, and the 4mm Holdfast lugs grip well on dry rock. It weighs 720g a pair in a UK 8, only a little more than a trail shoe.

Materials

Care

Brush off dust and dried mud. Wash the mesh with a soft brush and cold water, and dry away from heat.

Cool and grippy
Wore them over Sty Head to Wasdale and back on a warm day. Feet stayed cool and the sole felt secure on the loose stuff. The mesh picked up a lot of dust.
