About this product

The Lairig is Wayfell's first B2 boot, made for winter days in the Cairngorms and on Ben Nevis where you need semi-automatic crampons and a sole that stays rigid on hard snow. It has a heel welt for the crampon's rear clip and a full-length nylon plate.

The upper is 2.8mm leather with a thin synthetic insulation layer behind the Wayseal membrane and a full rubber rand. It is made on a unisex last in whole sizes, so if you have a narrow heel, try it on with one of our fitters.

    Stiff and warm

Tried them on the first snow of the season high on the Ben, with crampons on. The heel clip sat snug and my toes stayed warm. Not a boot for summer walking.
