About this product

The Growan 4 is for people who camp through the winter but would rather not look after down. Three layers of continuous-filament fill give it a comfort rating of -4°C, and it still works if condensation drips on it overnight.

The trade-off is weight: 2.2kg, against about 1.1kg for a down bag of similar warmth. It is reduced this season while Tor & Combe changes the shell fabric for next year.

Warm and tough
Used it in Glen Nevis in February and was warm in a base layer. Too bulky for a long walk-in, so it's my car-camping winter bag.
