About this product

Tarnside's suspended mesh back leaves a 3cm gap between you and the pack, so air moves across your back on a hot climb out of Langdale or up Pen-y-ghent. A spring steel frame curves the pack body away from the mesh. That moves the load slightly back, which most people stop noticing within an hour.

The men's version suits backs of 46 to 54cm and has a straighter hip belt. A rain cover sits in the base, and the front pocket takes a wet jacket.

  • Suspended mesh back with a 3cm air gap
  • Spring steel perimeter frame
  • Rain cover tucked into the base
  • Two zipped hip belt pockets
  • Pole loops with bungee holders

    Comfortable, a bit heavy

Comfortable and well made. Just over a kilo is more than I expected for 26 litres, but that's the frame.

Dry back on the Three Peaks

Did the Yorkshire Three Peaks on a warm June day and my back stayed far drier than with my old pack. It takes a while to get used to the load sitting further back.
