About this product

Big loads need a hip belt that moves with you, and on the Scoat it sits on a pivot that follows your stride. With an aluminium perimeter frame, a mesh back and thick foam on the belt, it carries 22kg with most of the weight on your hips.

Back length adjusts by 10cm. The lid has two zipped pockets, and there is a zipped side entry, a sleeping bag zip and a stowed rain cover. It suits long trips in Scotland where you resupply every five or six days.

  • Pivoting hip belt moves with each stride
  • Carries up to 22kg
  • Mesh back on an aluminium perimeter frame
  • Zipped side entry to the main compartment
  • Back adjusts by 10cm

    Carries a heavy load well

Five nights in the Cairngorms in March with winter kit, so over 20kg. The pivoting belt felt odd for an hour and then I forgot about it.
