About this product

Thirty litres is the size to take when the forecast turns or the day is long: an extra insulated jacket, a flask, a group shelter and crampons. The Sandpiper carries all that at 690g, around half the weight of most framed 30-litre packs.

A U-shaped aluminium stay and a ventilated foam back take loads to about 10kg. The lid comes off for summer, and the ice axe loop and tool holder on the front are there for winter days in the Cairngorms.

  • U-shaped aluminium stay for loads up to 10kg
  • Removable lid with a zipped pocket
  • Ice axe loop and bungee tool holder
  • Stretch mesh pockets on the hip belt
  • Weighs 690g

    Light for what it carries

Did three winter days on the plateau with it, axe on the front and crampons inside in a bag. Carries well. The lid pocket is a little shallow for a map in a case.
