About this product

Windproof woven panels cover the chest, shoulders and upper arms, which take the wind on an exposed ridge. The back and underarms are a 180g/m² stretch fleece that lets heat out while you climb with a pack on.

On a dry, breezy day along Striding Edge it can stand in for a softshell. The panels carry a PFAS-free water-repellent finish that sheds a short shower, though the fleece back will soak through in steady rain.

  • 180g/m² stretch fleece on the back and sides

  1. 5 out of 5

    Replaced my softshell

Lighter than my old softshell and better at letting heat out. Wore it over Blencathra in a stiff easterly and didn't need my shell.

  2. 4 out of 5

    Good, but not for rain

Great in wind. In proper Connemara rain the fleece back soaks through quickly, so you still need a waterproof.
