About this product

Meths burns almost silently, works in the cold and needs no pressurised canister. The Alder set puts a brass spirit burner inside a two-part aluminium windshield, with a 1.5-litre pan, a 1-litre pan and a lid that doubles as a frying pan.

Allow about ten minutes for a litre. That is slower than gas, but the flame keeps going in a gale. Everything nests together and a strap holds it shut. Youth groups like the set because a spirit burner has no moving parts to break.

Brass spirit burner holds 100ml and burns for about 25 minutes
Two-part windshield keeps it lit in strong wind
1.5 litre and 1 litre pans plus a frying pan lid
Pan grip and strap included, everything nests together

Same as the one I had in 1985
Bought this to replace my old spirit stove and it works the same way. Slow but completely reliable. I like not having to hunt for a gas canister in a village shop.
