About this product

Northwold filled the women's Hoar with 115g of 700-fill duck down and cut it to sit just below the hip, shaped at the waist. It weighs 340g in a size 12 and comes with a stuff sack about the size of a bag of flour.

The 30-denier recycled nylon shell stands up to everyday wear and has a PFAS-free water-repellent finish. A stand collar takes the place of a hood, so it fits under a waterproof without bunching at the neck. The baffles are 9cm wide and the hand pockets have brushed linings.

  • 115g of 700 FP duck down
  • Shaped waist, below-hip length
  • Stand collar sits neatly under a waterproof
  • Hard-wearing 30D recycled nylon shell

    Ferry deck jacket

Warm enough standing on the ferry deck to Mull in February, which is saying something. Packs into its bag for the car.

    Great, but size up

Really warm and nicely made. I'm usually a 12 but needed a 14 to wear it over a fleece. The shop let me swap it without any trouble.

    Mel, Bakewell · 18 February 2026 · Bought size 14, runs small

    Toasty

Bought it for winter walks and I live in it. Warm on the coldest days round Rydal Water. The green is a lovely deep colour.

Caroline, Ambleside · 30 December 2025 · Bought size 12, room for a thin fleece
