About this product
Northwold made Thaw for winters that are wet more often than cold. Its 100g/m² Loftweb insulation is a continuous sheet of recycled polyester that keeps its warmth when damp and dries overnight in a tent porch. The jacket weighs 440g in size M.
There's an insulated hood with a stiffened brim, two hand pockets and a chest pocket, and the 20-denier shell has a PFAS-free finish. The Loftweb sheet is held in with widely spaced stitching, which leaves fewer cold spots than narrow quilting.

Made for Irish weather
It rains here more than it freezes, and this is warmer than my down jacket on wet days. Wore it all winter on walks in Connemara. Dries fast.

Warm, a bit stiff
Good warm jacket for the Beacons in winter. The hood brim is stiff and pokes my glasses. Otherwise spot on.
