About this product

The Byre gilet uses the same Hearthfill insulation as the Byre jacket, 100g/m² of recycled polyester, in a sleeveless cut. Wear it over a fleece on a cold, still day or under a shell when the wind picks up.

With bare arms you can work poles all day without overheating. The collar stands high, there are two zipped hand pockets and an inside pocket, and it packs into the left hand pocket. It weighs 290g in size M.

Good over a fleece
I wear it over a fleece for winter walks on Hay Bluff. Keeps the wind off my chest. The armholes are a bit generous and let a draught in.
