About this product
Cleugh overtrousers go with the Cleugh jacket, and they're the pair we'd choose for a full day on the hill. At 270g in size M they pack small, and the 2.5-layer Weatherline fabric is rated to 15,000mm.
Three-quarter side zips open from the ankle to the upper thigh, so you can get them on over boots and gaiters and open them up on a climb. Scuff patches on the inside ankles protect against your own boots. There are three leg lengths, and the Hale repair promise covers them.

Good, zips stiff at first
Dry and comfortable on the Western Way. The side zips were stiff to start with and needed two hands. They freed up after a few weeks.

The long zips mean I can get them on standing up on a windy summit. Kept me dry on Helvellyn via Swirral Edge in rain. Packed size is good.
