About this product

Haar is the layer to wear for most of a cold winter day in the Scottish hills, with a hardshell kept in the pack for snow and rain. Cairnhope's 320g/m² Ridgeflex fabric is a dense stretch weave with a brushed back that blocks most of the wind. The women's jacket weighs 545g in a size 12.

It's cut longer at the back with a shaped waist that still clears a harness. The hood fits over a helmet, both chest pockets sit above a harness, and the forearms are reinforced for scrambling on rock. The finish is PFAS-free.

Warm and tough
Great for winter walks round Lochnagar and the White Mounth. Very warm, so I take it off on long climbs. Sleeves a bit long.
