About this product
Haar is Cairnhope's softshell for cold, dry winter days on the Cairngorm plateau, worn over a base layer and a thin fleece with a shell in the pack. The 320g/m² Ridgeflex fabric is a dense stretch weave with a brushed back, wind-resistant and tough enough for rock and ice-axe shafts.
The hood fits over a helmet. Two chest pockets sit above a harness, there's a map pocket inside, and the forearms are reinforced. It weighs 620g in size M and has a PFAS-free finish that copes with spindrift and light snow.

Winter workhorse
I wear this for most of a winter climbing day and only put a shell on when it properly snows. Tough as old boots and the hood takes my helmet easily. Heavy, but I don't notice once it's on.
