About this product
A foam mat never goes flat. The Schorl folds into a block that straps to the outside of a pack, and opens out in a second to sit on at lunch or to go under an air mat on frozen ground.
The egg-box surface traps warm air and adds some softness. On its own it is an R-value 2.0, which covers summer nights for most people. Put it under any air mat to add about 2 to the total.

Bulky on the pack
It's warm and indestructible but it's big strapped to the outside, and it caught on every branch in Kielder Forest.

Goes everywhere
It goes under my air mat in winter and I sit on it at lunch the rest of the year. Can't fault it for the price.
