About this product
On snow, most of the cold comes up from the ground, so a winter mat needs a high R-value. The Plover R6.4 has four reflective layers and a synthetic fibre insert, and it is 8cm thick. In our winter tests in the Cairngorms it kept the cold off frozen ground at -10°C.
It is new for Spring Summer 2027 and weighs 560g in Regular. The base fabric is a heavier 40D nylon so it takes crampon-scarred tent floors and icy gravel better than the lighter Plovers.
- Four reflective layers and a fibre insert, R-value 6.4
- Eight centimetres thick
- Heavier 40D nylon base
- Pump sack and repair kit included
- Same flat valve as the other Plovers: fills one way, dumps fast
