About this product

Open the valve and the foam inside the Elvan 3 draws in air on its own; a couple of breaths firm it up. Foam-filled mats are harder to puncture than air mats, and still work as thin foam if one does.

At 3cm thick and 880g it is a good youth expedition mat, and it rolls small enough to fit across the bottom of a 60-litre pack. The cut-away foam inside saves weight without making cold spots.

Self-inflates in about five minutes
Cored foam inside, still usable if punctured
Brass twist valve
Stuff sack and repair patch included

Good for teenagers
Survived three expeditions with my eldest and still holds air. A bit thin for adults who sleep on their side.
