About this product
The Elder springs open as soon as you take it out of the bag, and folds back into a flat 75cm disc. It has a back wall, two half sides and a floor, which is enough to keep the wind and sun off two adults and a toddler.
The fabric is rated UPF 50 and to 1,500mm, so it will see off a shower but not a wet day. Sand pockets along the base hold it down on a beach where pegs will not.

Fine for sun, not for rain
Good on hot days. Got caught in a heavy shower at Exmouth and water came through the seams after about 20 minutes.

Easy up, tricky down
Pops up in seconds and kept the wind off us at Crackington Haven. Folding it back took me six goes and some swearing.
