About this product

A lair is where a hill animal beds down out of the wind. This one sits between a bivvy bag and a tent. One short pole lifts the fabric off your face, so you can read or check the map without it pressing on your nose. Two pegs at the foot and two at the hoop hold it down.

The hoop pole is a section from our standard Hale list, the same diameter as our tent poles. The fabric is a three-layer recycled nylon, and the mesh panel at the hood zips shut in rain.

  • Single pole hoop at the head, from standard Hale sections
  • Recycled three-layer nylon, rated to 20,000mm
  • Zipped mesh panel at the hood
  • Four peg points and two guylines
  • PFAS-free water repellent on the recycled face fabric

    Halfway to a tent

Good for one-night trips on the Howgills when I want to travel light but not have nylon on my face. Gets damp inside on still nights, so leave the mesh open if it's dry.
