About this product
Most of the water that soaks your trousers on a summer walk comes off wet grass and bracken. Intake overtrousers weigh 185g in a size 12, pack into their own back pocket and are rated to 10,000mm.
The waist is elastic with a drawcord, and the seat and hips have a little more room than the men's pair. The 30cm ankle zips pull on over boots. You can choose short, regular or long legs, and the Hale lifetime repair promise covers them.

Does the job
Light, and they pack small. The waist drawcord came out of its channel in the first month, which was annoying, but the Ambleside shop rethreaded it for me.

The short leg is a godsend
I'm 5ft 2in and most overtrousers pool round my boots. The short leg is just right. Wore them on a soaking day around Haytor and stayed dry.
