About this product

Brackwater trousers are the ones to wear all day when the forecast says rain until dark. The 3-layer Weatherline fabric is rated to 20,000mm, and the full-length side zips mean you can put them on or take them off without removing boots or crampons.

The women's cut has more room at the hip and seat and a higher back rise, so they stay put under a hip belt. There's a zipped thigh pocket and scuff panels at the inside ankles. They weigh 340g in a size 12, come in three leg lengths and carry the Hale lifetime repair promise.

    Good trousers, awkward belt

    They're waterproof and well made. The webbing belt digs into my hip under a pack belt, so I've stopped using it. I'd prefer plain elastic.

    Dry on the Twelve Bens
