About this product
On a cold, dry day with a stiff wind, Laver is often the only layer you need over a base layer. The Drystone fabric is a 240g/m² double weave with a brushed inner face, stretchy enough to scramble in, and it blocks most of the wind while letting sweat out.
It isn't waterproof, but the PFAS-free finish sheds a passing shower. The hood fits under a waterproof hood, there are two high hand pockets and a chest pocket, and it weighs 480g in size M.

Great, but not waterproof
Brilliant on dry, windy days. I got caught in proper rain on Rombalds Moor and it soaked through after twenty minutes, which they do warn you about. Now I carry a shell as well.

Wear it more than my waterproof
On cold, breezy days in the Lakes this is all I wear over a base layer. Keeps the wind off and I don't boil on the climbs. Dried in an hour after a shower on Fairfield.

Best fit yet
I've worn Hale softshells for years and this is the best fit so far. Longer in the arm than my last one. Comfortable under a pack.
