About this product

The Hogg is the jacket our hire counters send out on most school trips, so it is used to brambles and a hose-down at the end of the week. The Weatherline 2.5L shell has a recycled nylon face, a PFAS-free finish and a 10,000mm rating, with every seam taped.

The hood has a soft elastic edge and a short peak, and there are no cords at the hood or neck. Fold-back cuffs give an extra 3cm of sleeve as arms grow. Reflective strips sit across the back and on both cuffs, and there is a name label inside the collar.

    Survived Year 6 residential

I run our school's residential trip and we bought 20 of these for the kit cupboard. After two seasons the only repair has been one cuff popper. The children can do the zip up themselves.

    Second child wearing it now

Bought it for my eldest three years ago and his sister has it now. Still dry after a wet half-term walk round Derwentwater.

    Sizes up a bit

Dry and well made. The 5-6 was long in the sleeve on my small five-year-old, though the cuffs fold back. The red is brighter than in the photo, which helps me spot her.
