About this product

Like a tent pole, the Siskin folds on a cord that runs through the middle, and it packs to 38cm, short enough to sit in a side pocket or a vest pack. Pull the sections together until the button clicks and it is set.

A 20cm adjustment at the top takes it from 110 to 130cm. The shafts are carbon fibre, 198g per pole, stiff enough for steep descents but not for leaning your full weight on across a stream. Grips are foam with a short extension below.

Materials

Carbon fibre lower sections, 7075 aluminium top section, EVA foam grips and a polyester-sheathed internal cord.

Care

Wipe off grit before folding, because grit in the joints wears them. Dry them unfolded after rain.

Fold away fast
Used them over the Carneddau in September. They fold into the vest in a few seconds before the rocky bits. Very light.
