About this product

The Dart 290 weighs 290g a shoe in a UK 8, and it's the shoe we sell most to people walking long trails without boots. A Lightseal membrane under recycled mesh handles wet grass and puddles, and the Uplift foam midsole stays springy on long days.

Under the forefoot, the Fleet Grip sole uses a softer rubber with 4.5mm lugs that holds on wet rock. A good few customers have walked the whole Coast to Coast in a pair.

    Membrane started leaking

Great for the first six months. After that my right foot got wet on long, rainy days. The shop replaced them without any fuss, which is why it still gets three stars.

    Light enough to jog in

I use them for long days in the Cairngorms when I can't face boots. Grip on wet granite is excellent. Water does come in over the top if you step in a bog.

Coast to Coast in one pair

Walked St Bees to Robin Hood's Bay in these. 190 miles, dry feet most days and only one blister, which was my own fault. They're worn now but still going.
