About this product
Six long blasts, a minute's pause, then six more, is the mountain distress signal in Britain and Ireland. This whistle reaches 115 decibels, which carries much further than a shout, and it keeps working wet or frozen because there is no pea inside to stick.
It comes on a 60cm lanyard with a breakaway clip and weighs 9g. Clip it to a shoulder strap where you can reach it with one hand.
