About this product

The Perch weighs 900g and packs to the size of a large water bottle, light enough for a backpacking trip as well as the campsite. Shock-corded 7001 aluminium poles click into a moulded hub, and the ripstop seat slips over the ends.

The seat sits 30cm off the ground and holds up to 120kg. Its feet are narrow, so on soft grass stand them on flat stones or they will sink.

Comfy but sinks
Comfortable and packs small. On a soft campsite on Kerrera the legs sank into the grass and I tipped backwards once. Now I put it on flat stones.

Worth carrying
Took it on a two-night wild camp above Buttermere. After nine hours of walking, a back to lean on was worth the 900g.
