About this product
The Hornbeam 6 is the tent most families start with. Three bedrooms sit across the back, and the living area at the front stands 200cm tall, with room for a table and six chairs.
It weighs 17.2kg and goes up in about half an hour with two adults. The fly is rated to 3,000mm. If you camp on exposed sites by the coast, peg out every guyline: it is a tunnel, and it needs them.
- Three bedrooms with zipped dividers
- Living area of 200cm headroom
- Door canopy held out on two steel poles
- Two side windows with roll-down covers
- Cable entry point for hook-up

Dry in Mayo rain
Proper test on Achill and it stayed dry. The grey colour is lighter than the photo, closer to silver.

Brilliant for the money
Two summers at Castlerigg and a week in Wasdale, still going. Loads of room for three kids and all their stuff.

Good family tent
Took about 40 minutes the first time, half that now. Fibreglass poles feel a bit flimsy compared to my mate's alloy ones, but no breaks so far.
